What these cover

These terms cover the Filament game for Android and these Filament pages. They add detail to the Unit Labs terms and the Refunds policy, which also apply. Where they differ for Filament, these terms apply. By playing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not play.

Your licence

Unit Labs gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Filament on devices you own or control. You do not own the game, its code, its art, or its name. Do not copy, resell, rent, or modify the game, or take it apart, except where the law allows you to.

Free and Pro

The base game is free on Google Play. Filament Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase. Google Play shows the price and processes the payment.

Pro adds the Twin Spark, Ash, Decay, Bloom, and Scarce modes, the Ember and Oxide boards, the Soft and Wire coils, and a finish Glyph. It does not skip the challenge ladder and does not buy progress. Pro stays tied to the Google account you bought it with, and you can restore it on a new install.

No refunds

All sales are final. Unit Labs does not refund Filament Pro, including for a change of mind, a purchase made by mistake, or a save lost by clearing storage or uninstalling. Restore the purchase instead. The full rules, and the exceptions the law requires, are in Refunds.

Google Play can decide on its own to refund a purchase under its policy. If it does, Pro is removed from the game.

Your saves

Progress, settings, and Glyphs stay on your phone. There is no Filament game server, so Unit Labs cannot recover a lost save. Uninstalling or clearing storage deletes it for good. If you sign in to Play Games, Google stores your achievements and leaderboard scores.

Fair play

Do not cheat the Play Games leaderboards or achievements, tamper with the game, or use it to harm anyone. Scores gained by cheating can be removed.

Updates

We can change rules, modes, challenges, and balance in an update on Google Play. Pro keeps the features it lists, though they can be tuned. We can update these terms, and the date at the top changes when we do.

No warranty

Filament is provided as it is offered on Google Play, without a promise that it will run without errors on every device. Nothing here takes away a right you have under consumer law where you live.

Liability and law

The limits of liability, the governing law, and the way disputes are handled are set out in the Unit Labs terms. In short, liability is limited to what you paid for Filament Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or nothing if you played only the free game, except where the law does not allow that limit. The laws of India apply.
