What these cover

These terms cover the Afterlane game for Android and these Afterlane pages. They add detail to the Unit Labs terms and the Refunds policy, which also apply. Where they differ for Afterlane, these terms apply. By playing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not play.

Afterlane is an original game. It is not affiliated with Nintendo, Konami, or Hipster Whale.

Your licence

Unit Labs gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Afterlane on devices you own or control. You do not own the game, its paper city, its runners, or its name. Do not copy, resell, rent, or modify the game, or take it apart, except where the law allows you to. There is no separate Afterlane account. A Google account is used for Google Play purchases and, if you choose it, for Play Games sign-in.

Free, Ink, and Paper Pass

Endless, Sprint, Stamp Hunt, District Dash, and Daily are free. Paper Pass is an optional subscription sold through Google Play. It adds Relay, Gale, and Airmail, and it renews until you cancel it in the store. Cancelling in the game, or uninstalling, does not cancel the subscription.

Ink packs, cosmetics, and the starter bundle are optional purchases. Points and Ink can also unlock items inside the game. Virtual items and Ink have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money. Google Play shows the price before you confirm. Nothing you buy buys a score.

No refunds

All sales are final. Unit Labs does not refund Ink, cosmetics, the starter bundle, or Paper Pass, including for a change of mind, a purchase made by mistake, an unused part of a subscription period, or a save lost by clearing progress or uninstalling. Restore a purchase from the same Google account instead. The full rules, and the exceptions the law requires, are in Refunds.

Google Play can decide on its own to refund a purchase under its policy. If it does, the item it paid for can be removed from the game.

Your saves

Progress and settings stay on your phone. If you sign in to Play Games, Google keeps a copy of that save so it can return on another device with the same sign-in. There is no Afterlane server, so Unit Labs cannot recover a lost save. Clearing local progress while signed in replaces the Play Games copy with the cleared save. Clearing storage or uninstalling deletes the copy on that phone. The Play Games copy remains with Google until you delete it or replace it. We can change, add, or stop modes, seasons, and catalogs in an update.

Fair play

Do not cheat, tamper with the game to unlock paid items without buying them, or present Afterlane as someone else's game. We can refuse support where a purchase or a save has clearly been altered.

No warranty

Afterlane is provided as it is offered on Google Play, without a promise that it will run without errors on every device. Nothing here takes away a right you have under consumer law where you live.

Liability and law

The limits of liability, the governing law, and the way disputes are handled are set out in the Unit Labs terms. In short, liability is limited to what you paid Unit Labs for Afterlane purchases in the 12 months before the claim, or nothing if you played only the free game, except where the law does not allow that limit. The laws of India apply.
