These terms cover the DailyReport app for Android, dailyreport.observer, and these DailyReport pages. They add detail to the Unit Labs terms and the Refunds policy, which also apply. Where they differ for DailyReport, these terms apply. By using the app or the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use them.
The service
DailyReport shows short news bites, about 40 to 60 words, with the publisher named and a link to the original article. A trust score shows how many independent outlets report the same thing. It is a coverage signal. It is not a ruling on what is true, and it is not a fact-check. Editions cover India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. We can change, add, or stop editions, topics, and Plus features in an update.
We are not the original publisher of the underlying articles. Headlines, facts, and excerpts may come from third-party outlets. Those outlets keep their rights. The DailyReport name, the app, and the way a bite is packaged belong to Unit Labs.
Accounts
You can read without an account. If you sign in with Google, you are responsible for the activity on that sign-in. Do not share your account. A custom feed you add is your responsibility: add only sources you have the right to follow.
Plus
The free app is usable without Plus. Plus is an optional subscription. It renews until you cancel it in Google Play. Google Play shows the price before you confirm. Plus removes ads and adds the extras described in the app. It has no cash value, and it does not buy a particular story or a particular score. All sales are final, except where a law that cannot be waived requires a refund, or the store refunds on its own. See Refunds.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape, overload, or disrupt the service or its interface beyond ordinary reading. Do not attempt unauthorized access. Do not present DailyReport bites as your own paid product. Do not use the service for anything unlawful, abusive, or deceptive. Do not reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it. We can refuse access where use has clearly broken these terms.
Content and notices
If you believe a bite uses your work without a right to do so, or that a bite is unlawful, use the copyright and notices page. If a bite is wrong, incomplete, or names you unfairly, use the corrections page. Feedback you send may be used to improve the service, with no duty to pay you for it.
Disclaimer
The app and the site are provided as they are offered, without a promise that every bite is complete, current, or suitable for a decision. A bite can be wrong. A trust score can be wrong. News, including business, health, science, and politics, is not financial, medical, legal, or other professional advice. Open the original article before you rely on a story. Nothing here takes away a right you have under consumer law where you live.
Third-party sites you open from a bite are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for those sites.
Liability
The limits of liability, the governing law, and the way disputes are handled are set out in the Unit Labs terms. In short, liability is limited to what you paid Unit Labs for DailyReport in the 12 months before the claim, or nothing if you used only the free app, except where the law does not allow that limit. That limit is meant to apply to claims about bites, scores, ads, and Plus, to the extent the law allows.
Stopping
You can stop using DailyReport at any time and ask for deletion on the deletion page. We can suspend or end access for a breach, abuse, legal risk, or if the service stops. Sections that should survive, including content, the disclaimer, liability, and governing law, survive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer, privacy, or other protection that applies where you live and cannot be waived. Those protections still apply in the United States, the EEA, the UK, Canada, and Australia where the local law says they do.
